80th anniversary of the St. Petersburg (Leningrad) Union of Architects

The 80th anniversary of the Union of Architects was celebrated in St. Petersburg on 4-10 June. The Central Communication Museum named after A.S. Popov was the venue for the large-scale exhibition “80 Years of the Union of Architects,” which presented the architecture of Leningrad in 1930-90 and modern St. Petersburg, new church architecture and expositions of the youth section of the Union of Architects. On 5 June, a formal meeting of the Directorate of the St. Petersburg Union of Architects and the opening of an exhibition took place at Architect’s Hall on Bolshaya Morskaya. The exhibition from the archives of St. Petersburg architects and Project Development Institutes included materials from personal collections, as well as the projects of Leningrad’s leading institutes.
